For large dogs who chew hard. The Hard is BetterBone's most durable option, similar in resistance to antler, without the risk of tooth fracture that comes with actual antler. Built for dogs that destroy things.
Made from plants: cellulose from responsibly sourced wood fiber and natural plant sugars. No nylon, no synthetic materials, no meat protein. The Classic flavor is fully plant-based, which makes it a reliable option for dogs with food sensitivities.
Large suits dogs 23 kg and over. We stock Large in Hard only. If your large dog is a gentler chewer, get in touch.
Always supervise while chewing. You'll notice small flakes as your dog chews. That's normal and by design. Small flakes that are swallowed pass through harmlessly: the material is plant fiber, not plastic. Remove if chunks larger than a grain of rice are breaking off and move up one hardness level.

Not sure? Start with Medium. It suits most adult dogs.
Evaluate after the first bone
If it goes too fast, try one level harder next time. If your dog loses interest, try one level softer. Zoe tried Hard first, then Soft. Medium is where she landed.
