What does "tested at home" mean?

We only stock products we understand and trust. That means one of three things:

Literally tested: Kiki or Zoe actually use this product. The litter in Kiki's box, the treats Zoe eats, the harness she wears—we live with these before we sell them.

Brand-tested: We've tested enough from a brand to trust their materials and construction. If Zoe's tested one harness and it holds up, we trust the full size range.

Expertise-curated: Some products we can't personally test—toys for gentle dogs when Zoe's a destroyer, or sizes that don't fit either of them. For these, we choose based on materials, construction, and brand reputation.

Basically, if we wouldn’t use it ourselves, or recommend it to a friend, we don’t stock it.

Do you have products for both cats and dogs?

Most curated pet shops pick one. We didn't, because we have one of each. Kiki is a cat, Zoe is a dog, and they both needed better options. It made sense to build a shop that reflects that.

Why such a small selection?

We stock less so we can stock better. We'd rather have 20 products we trust than 200 we don't.

Are your products safe for sensitive pets?

Zoe has a sensitive stomach, so we pay close attention to ingredients. We look for single-protein options, minimal additives, and transparent sourcing. If you have a pet with specific dietary needs or sensitivities, email us and we'll help you find the right products.

Are your wet food options complete meals or toppers?

Fred & Felia wet food is a complete meal, formulated by a vet nutritionist to meet all your pet's nutritional needs on its own. You can also use it as a topper over kibble to add variety or encourage a fussy eater. Just adjust the kibble portion to keep calories balanced. The chicken smoothie is designed specifically as a topper, to be added to a meal rather than served alone.

Are your treats suitable for both cats and dogs?

Most of our treats work for both. Mr. Bones single-ingredient treats are suitable for cats and dogs. The proteins are the same, the format works for both. If you're unsure about a specific product, the product page will say, or just email us.

Do you have a physical store?

Not a traditional store with regular hours, but we do have a studio in Porto where you can:

  • Pick up orders (select at checkout)
  • Try harnesses for fit (by appointment - especially helpful if your dog is between sizes)
  • Drop off returns (by appointment)
  • Visit during pop-ups (announced on Instagram)

How does shipping work?

We ship throughout mainland Portugal. See our Shipping Policy for full details, but in short:

  • Next-day delivery (CTT Expresso) — €6.00. Order before 14:00 for next business day delivery.
  • Local delivery — €8.00. Within Porto. Order before 14:00 for same-day delivery.
  • Pickup by appointment — Free. Collect from our studio in Porto. We'll contact you via WhatsApp to schedule.
Can I return something if my pet doesn't like it?

We understand. Pets have opinions.

Unopened items can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. For hygiene reasons, we can't accept returns on opened treats or used products.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. We currently only ship within Portugal.
